Twelve people were killed and seven injured in a head-on collision between two buses in Odisha's Ganjam district. PM Narendra Modi and Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik expressed their condolences and announced ex gratia payments to the deceased's next of kin. Patnaik also promised free treatment to the injured persons.
