Flash floods and landslides caused by heavy downpours have blocked the Chandigarh-Manali highway in Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi locality, leaving hundreds of commuters stranded since Sunday evening. Officials of the Mandi administration have announced the closure of the road until restoration works using explosives are completed within seven to eight hours.
