Swedish People’s Party loses members due to government programme, report HS and YLE

THE SWEDISH PEOPLE’S PARTY has lost a handful of members over entries in the government programme it has committed to pursue, report YLE and Helsingin Sanomat.

Elina Sagne-Ollikainen, a former deputy chairperson for the party’s district organisation in Helsinki, told Helsingin Sanomat on Thursday that she decided to relinquish her party membership due to provisions in the government programme that hit most vulnerable members of society.
