Holly Willoughby goes missing from This Morning as back-up star steps in
HOLLY Willoughby was missing from This Morning today after partying at Glastonbury as Josie Gibson stepped in alongside Craig Doyle.
Irish host Craig, 52, revealed her absence moments into Monday’s show.
He kept it brief and didn’t offer an explantion for Holly’s absence, telling viewers: “Holly is off today, she’ll be back tomorrow.”
Craig and Josie, 38, then kicked off the ITV lunchtime show with discussions on the dangers of binge drinking and the cost of living crisis.
Meanwhile, mainstay Holly, 42, remained silent on social media where she posts her This Morning outfits every day.
Fans noticed Holly was AWOL and reacted on Twitter – with many claiming she had a sore head after attending Glastonbury festival over the weekend.
One said: “So has Holly got a hangover.”
Another sniped: “Holly p****d from Glastonbury… Never mind take the day off… get paid still.. come in tomorrow ( if you want to )”
And a third said: “You’d think Holly would have thought that it’s a really bad idea to just take a day off after all the recent controversy especially after being pictured at Glastonbury.”
Holly shook off her recent Phillip Schofield saga with a 12-hour boozy bender at the infamous festival.
The This Morning presenter partied and danced with Princess Eugenie, footie’s Peter Crouch, actor Jamie Dornan and actress Lily James until the early hours of Sunday morning.
At one point she was seen wiggling her bum against a male pal and giggling in a dance routine.
It was the first time she had been seen at a public event since long-standing co-host Phil had to step down after admitting lying to her about his affair with a young male aide on the ITV daytime show.
One onlooker said Holly appeared to be drinking small cups of wine while husband Dan Baldwin was supping pints of beer.
A source said: “Holly was laughing and joking with her friends from the moment she touched down.
“They had access to the VIP Winnebago camping area but Holly seemed keen to get among the crowds.”
She later met with former England star Crouch and his wife Abbey Clancy.
They were seen watching Friday night’s headline act Arctic Monkeys and danced among the crowds during the set.
An onlooker added: “Holly seemed really close with Pete and Abbey.
“She was hugging them both and spent an hour dancing with Abbey during the Arctic Monkeys.
“No one recognised them, even though Pete stood out like a sore thumb because of his height.
“Holly had a funny dance with another friend and she seemed to be wiggling her bum against his.”
Holly and her husband then led the group to Glastonbury’s Rabbit Hole celebrity haunt.
Along the way, Crouch, 42, appeared worse for wear and was supported by Dan as they walked.
Holly and her pals then filmed him as he did his robot dance.
They got to The Rabbit Hole for midnight and stayed until 2am.
An onlooker added: “She was dancing non-stop and having a ball.
“It was clear the stress of the past couple of months had subsided and Holly looked happier than ever.
“She partied alongside Eugenie, Lily and Jamie — who was with a group of friends.
“Taron Egerton and Cruz Beckham were there too and the party was thumping.”
Holly previously spoke of her sadness at the breakdown of her relationship with Phil in a statement during a live broadcast on This Morning.
