Kazakhstan is set to take over the chairmanship of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in July 2022 until July 2024, following the upcoming SCO summit under Indian Presidency on July 4. During its chairmanship, Kazakhstan will focus on issues of security, economy and trade, energy and healthcare. Meanwhile, India hopes to utilize the platform to raise issues such as de-radicalization strategies and sustainable lifestyles to address climate change at the SCO leaders' summit later this year.
