Fabrizio Romano provides centre-back update for Tottenham supporters
Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur have not yet made a move to sign Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham.
Spurs seemingly have their goalkeeper signing sorted, with Guglielmo Vicario’s capture expected to soon be announced by the club (The Athletic). Strengthening at centre-back is now set to be one of the club’s next priorities.
Alasdair Gold revealed via Football.London a week ago that the Lilywhites are expected to make wholesale changes to their backline, with two new central defenders likely to arrive through the door.
Adarabioyo, who impressed at Craven Cottage during the second half of the season after breaking into Marco Silva’s starting eleven, is thought to be one of the names on the North London club’s radar (Sky Sports).
In fact, The Evening Standard even suggested a couple of days ago that Fulham have decided to cash in on the 25-year-old amidst Tottenham’s interest, after their contract talks with the player collapsed.
The report explained that Spurs are not the only club eyeing a deal for the former England Under-19 international, with French duo Rennes and Monaco also said to be monitoring the centre-back.
Tottenham are no closer to securing Adarabioyo deal
However, Romano has now revealed on AMP that as things stand, Ange Postecoglou’s men have not advanced on a deal to sign Adarabioyo.

Adarabioyo and Edmond Tapsoba have very similar profiles and I suspect Tottenham have identified the Fulham man as an alternative if a deal for the Leverkusen star proves out of their reach.
We ideally also need to sign another top centre-back for the left-sided role this summer.
