Mom-to-be Kourtney Kardashian wants to be sexy but looks awkward – her other pregnancies appear frumpy now, expert says
KOURTNEY Kardashian’s outfit for her Blink-182 pregnancy announcement has been labeled unnecessary by a fashion psychologist.
And she claims the Hulu star opted for low-rise leather pants and a bodysuit to play out a “sexy role” for her husband at the BMO Stadium in Los Angeles.
On June 18, Kourtney excitedly revealed her growing baby bump via a high-profile public appearance in California.
During a massive concert for her husband’s world-famous band, the mom of three, 44, held up a banner at the side of the stage.
The eldest Kardashian sister was dressed in a black mesh bodysuit and bra.
This was teamed with low-rise black leather pants which hung off her hips.
Kourtney was at Travis Barker’s gig with daughter Penelope, stepdaughter Alabama, and niece North West.
The words on her banner read: “Travis I’m Pregnant.”
As she jumped up and down, her leather pants appeared to fall further down her hips.
In an exclusive interview fashion psychologist Professor Carolyn Mair Ph.D. told The U.S. Sun: “A lot of women report feeling sexier or say they feel sexier when they are pregnant.
“Some men find women sexier when they’re pregnant too.
“Kourtney’s sexy pregnancy look may mean she is experiencing this and wants to show this.
“To me, it looks awkward balancing the black leather pants so low on her hips.
“I get that they are not going to sit on her waist because she has got a bump now, but they are very low.
“The look does not leave a huge amount to the imagination.
“Her mesh body suit draws the eyes down to her private parts.
“The contrast between the color of the skin on her thighs and the black bodysuit attracts attention.
“Transparent clothing is often considered sexy by people because it kind of hides and reveals.
“I can not see if she has got panties on under the body suit, or any underwear on other than her bra.
“Kourtney’s look is so different from many of her ordinary ones for her first three pregnancies.
“Back then she looks frumpy in comparison.”
This latest pregnancy means a fourth child for Kourtney. She already shares three kids: Mason, 13, Penelope, 10, and Reign, eight, with her ex Scott Disick.
After marrying Travis in 2022, Kourtney has been open about her IVF experiences and struggles.
She revealed she was finished with the grueling process in the season three premiere of The Kardashians.
“We would love a baby more than anything, but I just really believe in what God has in store for us. If that’s a baby, then I believe that it will happen,” she said at the time.
Kourtney’s style has also changed along the way. It looks to have done a 180 since she started dating rock star Travis.
Gone are her immaculately tailored looks and long glossy hair. In its place are edgier black outfits.
Our expert admits Kourtney’s children might be bothered by how their mom dresses.
“When this baby grows up and is old enough to see these images, they might not be too thrilled,” added Professor Mair.
“Then again, her kids might not care.
“Being mumsy is not something I imagine that any of the Kardashians want to be described.
“Sex sells and so looking sexy is going to draw viewers.
“Kourtney wears black leather which is associated with sexiness and eroticism.
“Bikers wear black leather pants so they have connotations of power, speed, risk, and danger.
“All these can also be considered sexy.”
Professor Mair also commented on Kourtney’s recent Instagram images, including one where she wore a negligee dress with big boots, pictured above.
Our expert said: “It is supposed to look erotic and sexy, showing a lot and kind of not showing a lot.
“She has her jacket off her shoulders.
“Again, it is just sexy as the material is satin which feels great against the skin.
“It might feel like someone is stroking the skin because it is so soft and light.
“The bows on her dress invite the eye and the viewer to undo them.
“At the end of the day, Kourtney was never going to put a mumsy outfit on for her pregnancy announcement.
“This is especially so when other women play sexy pregnancy roles like Rihanna.”
