Cian Ducrot, who has had two Top 20 singles, performed his new single ‘Heaven’ at the National Gallery in London.
Footage was shared on TikTok featuring the Irish star with the caption: ”Just trying to spread some joy and music with art”.
Ducrot wrote: “I took a choir and dancers to the National Art Gallery until I got kicked out…”
The video shows the 25-year-old suddenly start singing in the packed art museum.
Backing dancers and a choir join the singer-songwriter as visitors to the gallery could be seen watching on baffled.
A security guard then attempts to stop the recording and says ‘all units to the main floor please’.
Fans were quick to react to the video, which has more than 2.7 million views and over 230,000 likes.
Some praised the stunt with one saying: “Fair play! Security should be encouraging positivity and talent like this!”
Another quipped: “I was waiting for the plot twist where all the security guards begin dancing and singing with you all.”
Others weren’t as impressed, with one commenting: “Isn’t it a place to appreciate art??”
A user also said: “Man’s just trying to do his job.”
A third remarked: “The self indulgence of this kind of thing. People just want to see some art.”
A final person said: “Me, me, me – it’s all about me in this public space.”
It comes after Ducrot announced that his debut album ‘Victory’ will be out on July 21.
He said the album is inspired by his mum’s struggle to get away from his abusive father.
