Shoppers leg it to House of Fraser in a desperate bid to nab reduced homeware items with one woman saving £3k on a sofa
SHOPPERS are legging it to the high street in a desperate bid to check out the reduced furniture at House of Fraser.
The major department store is closing shops as sales continue to take a hit, but luckily for bargain hunters, this means that there are mega deals to be had.
One happy shopper was left thrilled when shopping in her local House of Fraser, when she spotted a brilliant reduced sofa.
Victoria Prosser proudly took to Facebook to show off her epic purchase, leaving many open-mouthed.
Posting in the Facebook group, Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, which has 2.2million members, the thrilled shopper shared pictures of her bargain buy.
She said: “Finally got my dream sofa from House of Fraser (selling for Sofa.com).
“[It] was £3,400, then £2,480, reduced in store as a display item to £684, then £450, and another 20% off so I got it for £360!
“So happy!”
The thrilled shopper posted a variety of images of her cut-price find – a stunning, velvet green sofa.
She then shared an image of the sofa in her front room, which looked fabulous and matched her decor perfectly.
Victoria later confirmed that she bought the sofa from the House of Fraser in Solihull.
Saving £3,040 on her sofa, she also added: “I’m so chuffed as it cost less than the armchair (which I’ve also got my eye on!”
Victoria shared her post yesterday, but it has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed a whopping 5,100 likes and 371 comments.
Social media users were stunned at not only the price of the sofa but also how beautiful it was too.
One person said: “This looks lovely in the setting of your home – well done on your bargain.”
Another added: “Bargain! I actually really like it and if I had a quirky little room, I would want something like this! Gorgeous.”
A third commented: “Wow, well done, it’s beautiful.”
Whilst someone else chimed in: “Love this and love your style! Far nicer than all grey everything.”
At the same time, one savvy shopper posted: “Bargain of 2023 goes to you.”
Meanwhile, many bargain hunters were desperate to nab such a great buy, with many tagging their friends and loved ones in the comments to alert them to this cheap sofa.
One shopper tagged a friend and noted: “I want.”
Someone else mentioned a loved one and explained: “We need to go back if they have a sale on!!”
As well as this, another shopper asked: “Have they any others left?” to which Victoria confirmed “Yes but they are ex-display.”
