Woman reveals perils of getting a solid gold ‘tooth gem’ – and it’s left people in hysterics
A WOMAN has shared the annoying side of getting a tooth gem and people are rolling with laughter.
Although the cute accessories may seem cute and trendy up-close, bad lighting and a camera phone can make all the difference.
The creator who goes by @metacakes shared her struggle in a TikTok video online.
She explained while having a tooth gem may be cute up close, from a distance it’s not as flattering.
She said: “No one tells you that when you get a tooth gem.”
“It’s gonna look like you’ve got a dead tooth in every single one of your photos.”
The creator shared a snap from a night out where she is grinning from ear to ear.
However her pearly whites don’t seem too shiny as her tooth gem has darkened one of her front teeth.
She said: “FML”
The creator would have spent a minimum of £150 on the accessory.
She later explained: “It’s 24k gold, a little cherry.”
The video gained over 723,000 views on TikTok.

The close up images had people in stitches.
One user joked: “Uncut tooth gems.”
“Why would you get a tooth gem?” asked another.
A third user said: “For others it also looks as if you got something stuck in your teeth.”
One user said they also had tooth gems but found a way to make sure she didn’t have the same problem as the creator.
They said: “I only use white/clear gems and no issues w pics !”
