I make my own plant fertilizer for free – it’s packed full of vitamins and minerals
A GARDENING enthusiast has shared the plant fertilizer you can make for free using leftovers.
It has loads of vitamins and minerals in it.
“Wanna make a free plant fertilizer? Here’s how,” she
(@sproutinggreenthumb) started her social media video where she shared her tip.
“Cut up old banana peels and put them in water. Put them in the fridge for two to five days.
“As they’re sitting in your fridge they will let out potassium and other great vitamins your plants need.
“Once a week take a cup of your banana tea and add it to your watering can.
“Not only is that a great way to add vitamins and minerals back to your plants, it’s free for you,” she concluded.
One of the viewers in the comments section was super grateful for the hack.

Another added that banana water was a thing they often used.
“Yasss banana water is my GO TO!!! Also makes A GREAT FACE MASK!! Using the inside of the peel to slather on to your face/neck!!” they exclaimed.
Another gardener has also previously shared that their homemade fertilizer is completely free, and it will make your soil so much healthier.
In a post, the man showed his method for making a rich feed for garden soil, and it used ingredients that ordinarily would end up in the trash can.
“Homemade eggshell calcium fertilizer [for] nutrient soil,” said the garden expert.
“Don’t throw eggshells,” he instructed. Instead, he said you should lay them out and dry them in the sun.
Once they were dried well, he then smashed them up and tipped the eggshell mix into a blender to crush them into even finer particles which created a powder.
Lastly, he sprinkled the powder onto the soil, and mixed it evenly, for “eggshell calcium fertilizer. The nutritious soil is ready. [Give] it a try,” he urged his followers.
