California State Senator Urges Families to Flee the State
The attack on children continues as California state Sen. Scott Wiener sponsored two bills in the state Legislature that endanger minors and strip rights away from parents, handing them over to the state.
AB 665 and 957 each concern the rights of parents in relation to children, especially children questioning their sexual identity. AB 665 is waiting to pass the senate. AB 957 has already been signed into law.
Attorney Erin Friday calls AB 665 “state-sanctioned kidnapping” and says that under Ab 957 parents could be guilty of “child abuse” for refusing to affirm the child’s gender identity. (READ MORE: California Chooses Social Over Civil Engineering)
“The child can be taken away from the parents’ home without any due process,” Friday said to the California Family Council about AB 665. “California continues to trample on parental rights.”
Nightmare for California Families
As the law stands in California currently, children cannot be taken to a residential shelter program if they do not show signs of “incest or child abuse.” However, under AB 665, these safeguards are removed, and the relationship between mental health professionals and minors becomes confidential.
In other words, mental health professionals and underage clients do not have to consult with parents or guardians before the clients are placed in government-sponsored residential programs.
California mother Abigail Martinez suffered from this experience firsthand. Her daughter committed suicide after being placed in the foster care system in order to have gender reassignment surgery.
“Instead of proper treatment for mental illness, Martinez said her daughter was encouraged by the school and her LGBT support group to take hormones and pursue gender reassignment surgery, and cut Martinez out of the process,” the Daily Mail reports. “Yaeli [Martinez’s daughter] was allegedly told by her trans peers that the only way she could get it paid for by the state was if she was in foster care.”
“This bill would also align the existing laws by requiring the professional person treating or counseling the minor to consult with the minor before determining whether involvement of the minor’s parent or guardian would be inappropriate,” AB 665 reads.
How Does California Define ‘Affirmation’?
AB 957 redefines what the law considers as the “health, safety, and welfare of the child,” stating that it must include “the parent’s affirmation of the child’s gender identity.”
As Abigail Shrier points out in Compact Magazine, the law does not define “affirmation.”
“How far must a parent go in pursuit of ‘affirmation’? The bill doesn’t say,” Shrier writes, “‘Affirmation’ can include anything from allowing your daughter to adopt a male name and pronouns to commencing a schedule of hormones and surgeries that are variously risky, irreversible, and without proven mental health benefit.”
Friday also questioned the implications of the word “affirmation.”
“It matters not the age of the child, the absurdity of the identity adopted, comorbid mental health issues, or persistence,” Friday said, testifying to the California Senate Judicial Committee.
California lawmaker Republican Sen. Scott Wilk expressed his grave concern over the new bills being pushed through the legislature.
“In the past, when we’ve had these discussions and I’ve seen parental rights atrophy, I’ve encouraged people to keep fighting,” Wilk told the Washington Times. “I’ve changed my mind on that. If you love your children, you need to flee.”
Wilk’s testimony is a warning to parents: LGBTQ activists are coming for your children. In fact, they need your children. By nature, the movement is only a generation away from dying out. Its proponents need your son to become a girl, or your daughter to become a boy. So follow Wilk’s advice: Get out while you can. Otherwise, they will take your child away from you — whether you want them to or not.
