Passmore 11th in 1M Springboard Final
Jake Passmore has closed his first senior international championships with an 11th place finish in the 1M Springboard.
The 18-year-old has had an impressive week, making finals in both of his individual events, the 3M and 1M Springboard as well as the Mixed 3M Springboard with partner Clare Cryan.
Passmore closed the competition with 327.86 points, a slight increase on this morning’s score of 326.70. Speaking after the final Passmore said ‘I’m very happy with my week, making 3 finals is more than what I had hoped to achieve. Not the performance I wanted in the prelim and final however good or bad its experience none the less. Hopefully I can get the results I want at worlds.’
Next up for Passmore will be the World Aquatics Championship in Japan in July, where 12 places will be on offer in each Olympic event for Paris 2024.
There is no diving tomorrow with Clare Cryan the final Irish diver in action on Wednesday in the 1M Springboard.
