German industrial supplier Schaeffler has opened a new manufacturing unit at its plant in Vadodara, Gujarat. The facility will increase production space by over 10,000 sq m and cater to growing demand in the wind, heavy industries, and railway sectors. The expansion is part of Schaeffler's localisation strategy and will enable the plant to manufacture spherical roller bearings and expand its heat treatment capabilities.
