Man charged with mum-of-two’s murder after her body found in layby

A man has been charged with the murder of a 31-year-old woman whose body was found in a layby near the M1.

Sarah Henshaw was discovered just after 12am on Monday on the A617, close to junction 29 of the motorway near Chesterfield, Derbyshire.

Detectives launched a murder investigation after the mother-of-two was reported missing from her home in Ilkeston last week.

Darren Hall, 36, of Rodney Way, Ilkeston, was arrested and is now due to appear in court today charged with her murder.

Ms Henshaw’s mother Lorraine paid tribute to her ‘incredibly kind’ daughter.

‘Sarah was my first-born child – and was a wonderful daughter and sister,’ she said.

‘She was also a fantastic mum to her two girls, who she loved so much.

‘Sarah would always put others first and was always incredibly kind.

‘As a family, we are all devastated by her death. We miss her so much and will love her forever.’
