BBC Breakfast blunder as fans spot rogue tea run in middle of weather report – joking ‘so that’s how it’s served!’
BBC Breakfast fans spotted a rogue tea run in the middle of a live report today.
The flagship show was being presented by Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt on Friday when it suffered its latest blunder.
It happened as Naga, 48, and Charlie, 60, introduced the weather.
The BBC’s Matt Taylor was ready to present the bulletin, standing in for an absent Carol Kirkwood.
But during a conversation with the hosts, a BBC Breakfast crew member accidentally walked into the shot.
The man was spotted by viewers as he brought Charlie and Naga a fresh cuppa on a metal tray.
Eagle-eyed fans were fascinated by the on-air blunder and quickly took to social media to comment.
One said: “I hope he stirred them well! And we’ll done Matt for keeping it together.”
A second wrote: “Hurry up those those teas Dave…”
“So that’s how tea is served on set,” said a third viewer.
A fourth commented: “Where are the sausages and bacon?”
While a fifth added: “Enjoy your brew, Charlie.”
BBC Breakfast airs daily from 6am on BBC One and iPlayer.
