CT man killed in crash on I-95 in Greenwich
A Stamford man was killed in a crash on Interstate 95 in Greenwich on Friday.
The accident was reported at about 1:44 a.m. on I-95 North in the area of Exit 5. A Ford Mustang driven by 46-year-old Colin Kennedy veered from the right lane and into the shoulder, striking a metal beam guardrail, according to Connecticut State Police.
Kennedy then veered back across three lanes and struck the concrete median barrier before spinning out and into the left lane, state police said. A 39-year-old Stamford man driving a Infiniti Q50 in the left lane struck Kennedy’s car head-on, according to state police.
Kennedy was taken to Stamford Hospital where he was pronounced dead, state police said. The other driver involved was also taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
