Boca Helping Hands presents Bowling for Bread event

Children from local charities will bowl for free on Aug. 27 in the annual Boca Helping Hands Bowling for Bread event at Bowlero in Boca Raton.

Through the special event, children can also enjoy food and competing for raffle prizes, with proceeds going toward the Boca Helping Hands meal program and participating children’s charities. Last year’s event raised $50,000.

“PROPEL Inc. is proud to partner with Boca Helping Hands for the eighth straight year,” said Drew Gaut, program director at PROPEL Inc. in an email. “Bowling for Bread is an action-packed day and event that directly impacts our youth and many youth organizations in Palm Beach County.”

The general public is encouraged to sponsor a child for $100, a lane for one of the children’s charities for $500, or to make a donation. Boca Helping Hands assists nearly 35,000 people annually.
