Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has inaugurated the National Centre of Excellence for badminton at Amingaon in Guwahati with 16 courts, 3,553 seats for spectators, and a hostel for players and coaches, aimed at providing impetus to the sport. The Centre is built over an area of 40,000 sq ft.
