My parents live in an 186-year-old house – I’ve made loads of discoveries, my cabinet find was the most creepy

A HISTORIC old house might sound frightening to some, but this TikToker seemed to have fun on her scavenger hunt for creepy finds.

If these 186-year-old walls could talk, they would probably have a lot to say – but in the meantime, they had a lot to show.

Intrigued by her parent’s historic home, Emmy (@emilyrosilier) took followers on a tour to demonstrate her most shocking discoveries.

“Weird things I found while looking around my parent’s 186-year-old house,” she prefaced the hunt as she showcased her first find.

“First of all, it has to be the doorknobs and locks. These are all from the 1800s,” she said as she showed the outdated pieces of history that were still a part of the home.

The next item she showed was definitely something most people living in a more modern house wouldn’t have hiding anywhere – a fireplace pot.

She opened the lid to the old item which was placed around a hook on the side of a faded bricked fireplace – there were even old logs still inside.

Emmy then pointed to an outlet in the wall which she explained was for a vacuum tube connector before she made yet another discovery – a living room trap door which she pulled wide open.

Next, she walked to a closet to show yet another potentially terrifying treasure.

Wearing burgundy shorts and a blue tank top featuring an orange and yellow sunburst, the old home tour guided pulled out a long, extending silver clothes hanger from the top of the door.

Even the fearless TikToker seemed stunned at the shocking find.

Emmy then bravely walked down the beige-carpeted stairs into the basement where there were dark floors as well as a toilet and sink setup.

This is where she found a lone garden hoe from a time gone by.

“And that was the only thing in there. Creepy,” the TikToker acknowledged.

She continued the historic home tour.

“Then of course a well. Everyone loves a well,” Emmy said as she gave a glimpse of the rounded brick well and even showed the water that was still inside.

It was when she opened an old wooden cabinet on the brick wall that she found the most unexpected – and creepiest find of all.

At first glance, viewers could see long pieces of wood until she zoomed in for a closer look.

“And there was just a random trophy in it. It was kind of creepy,” she said as a gold trophy was indeed sitting alone on a shelf.

The TikToker’s tone then went from horrified to happy as she showed a photo of a lady who appeared to be sitting in a living room.

It was the same room it could be seen Emmy was standing in once she lowered the image.

The area, which featured green walls and four large windows over a banquet seating area, was much more modern looking than the rest of the home’s creepy crevices.

“But shoutout to Betty, she lived here before us and said she saw my TikTok and loved it,” Emmy explained in reference to the woman in the photo.

She then gave a little – and less creepy – view of the outside of the brown-shingled home which sat by a lake and had red outdoor umbrellas, a fish statue, and kayaks by the water’s edge.

Many of her followers enjoyed being treated to the creepy home tour.

“That is awesome. I love old houses. Thanks for sharing,” one fan commented.

“That clothes hanger is genius,” commented another follower.

Another was most intrigued by the cabinet find: “The trophy – seems like something my youngest would do out of jealousy. I wonder what the story was.”
