I lost 70 lbs by walking more – my quick tip means you don’t even need to leave the house
A WEIGHT loss coach has shared her simple hack for shedding pounds without leaving your house.
She says that the tip helped her to lose 70 lbs and to keep the weight off, and now she has shared it with the world.
Kate Gugerli (@ffgcoaching) shared her advice on her TikTok, where she has more than 200,000 followers who watch her tips on weight loss for women.
The video where she shared the tip received more than 15,000 likes.
The clip opened showing Kate speaking to the camera.
She said: “Do you want to know my hack for getting 10,000 steps a day?”
The shot then changed, showing Kate sitting behind her computer.
She continued: “I do this on the days that I’m sitting around a lot doing office work.”
As she got to her feet from sitting down, she began walking in place, saying: “I get up and I do short bursts of walking in place throughout the day.”
She continued: “I once used a stopwatch to see how fast I could get 100 steps – turns out I can do it in under 40 seconds.
“That means it takes me a little over six minutes to get 1,000 steps.
“By doing that ten times throughout the day, I can get 10,000 steps in a day when I am otherwise sedentary.”
The last shot of the video showed Kate walking in place, on her way to meeting her 10,000 step goal.
Viewers loved the video, and many commented sharing their own weight loss experiences.
One person, who stated that they had lost 57 kg on their weight loss journey so far, said: “I do this while cooking, self care routines and basically any time I know I’m mostly indoors. Super easy and effective.”
Another commenter wrote: “I do this!! It’s free, I can still check email, and small efforts throughout the day add up to big achievements.”
