A 22-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday for an alleged violation of the Official Secrets Act, 1923 (OSA) after he was found wearing an army uniform and occupying a VIP seat at the Independence Day parade venue in Puri on Tuesday. During interrogation, the accused, Sunil Kumar Das, told the Sea Beach police that he was frustrated over not getting a job in the Indian Army and wanted to experience 'a feel' of the coveted service by wearing the uniform. Police are verifying whether Das ever attended any army recruitment examinations.
