About 60,000 direct jobs are expected to arise in the Indian mobile phone manufacturing sector within the next year due to demand from leading device makers. India is set to become the world's second-largest producer of handsets. Staffing companies such as Ciel and Teamlease have already begun seeing demand for open positions in mobile manufacturing. Furthermore, another 80,000 to 100,000 indirect jobs could also be created.
