All remaining World Cup warm up games will be on the big screen in the club this weekend.

John Smith Steps Back

After over 40 years service to the club, John Smith has decided to resign from his current position as Director of Bar Operations and Director of Mains Park Trading Co. Ltd. John has been and remains a stalwart of our club between his many successful playing years and also his roles in probably most committees and boards that the club has had.

I would like to thank John for all his time and effort that he has put into the club and that it has been very much appreciated as sometimes it is difficult to get volunteers to carry out some of our key roles. John has earned a well earned break from the trials and tribulations of working behind the scenes and can now just come into the club and relax over a pint.

Going forward, the club needs to recruit another Director for Mains Park Trading Co. to support both myself and Colin Devlin in managing the Club’s trading subsidiary and in giving both Susan support in her role as Bar Manager and Mary Ann as the new Premises Licence holder.

This is a great opportunity to get involved with the club and learn more about how it works in the background to ensure that all our sections can continue to play rugby. So, if you are interested in doing this, please email me at President@lrfc.club

Preparation for New Season – this Saturday

This Saturday, a group of the senior squad and other members are gathering to help clear up the grounds around the club. They are also looking to build a path along the pitch side fence in front of the ITC. If you are keen to come down and help, then please contact President@lrfc.club – there will be refreshments provided post work!!

Wee Reds Summer Camp

Just over 50 kids attended the Wee Reds’ Rugby Summer Camp this week. Fair weather and top coaching made it a great week and thanks go to Dougie and Euan for organising and running the camp with support from Aidan, Gregor and Adam.
