Hit Hollywood film franchise’s latest movie could be delayed by two YEARS because of ongoing actors’ strike
THE fourth Bridget Jones film faces a two-year delay amid the ongoing actors’ strike.
Actress Renee Zellweger, 54 — star of the rom-coms — signed up for the next instalment, but only had a small window available for shooting.

With the Hollywood walkouts over pay holding up production, time is running out for filming to begin.
A source said: “It’s a nightmare for film bosses.
“It’s taken ages to get everyone on board with Bridget Jones 4 and now the strike means it’s in jeopardy.
“Renee is one of the biggest names in Hollywood so has already signed up for multiple films in the coming years.
“She only had a tight window to shoot Bridget and the strike means she could totally miss it.”
The first film, Bridget Jones’s Diary, was released in 2001 and became a global sensation, making more than £200million at the box office.
It spawned two sequels — 2004’s Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason and 2016’s Bridget Jones’s Baby.
Last October, author Helen Fielding confirmed she was working on the fourth big screen instalment, based on her 2013 book Mad About the Boy.
Helen said: “Yes I’m working on it and I really hope it will happen.
“Every film that gets made is a miracle — it’s really difficult to make films happen and to make them good. But I’d love to see it on the screen.”
Representatives for Universal Films and Zellweger did not respond to The Sun’s request for comment.
