Player Left Confused By Club’s Stance Amid Liverpool And Manchester United Interest

The 21-year-old midfielder’s future at Bayern Munich has come under heavy focus towards the end of the summer transfer window.

Liverpool and Manchester United have both been in contact with his representatives over a potential transfer before the 1st September deadline.

He was an unused substitute in the German Supercup final and the opening league game of the season and is not a major part of Thomas Tuchel’s plans this season.

But according to Dutch daily De Telegraaf, Bayern Munich have told him that he will not be allowed to leave in principle.

The German champions remain reluctant to lose the Dutch midfielder despite his lack of opportunities.

Their stance has left the player confused with little over a week left in the ongoing transfer window.

Manchester United and Liverpool have remained legitimate destinations for him in the coming days.

There are suggestions that the German champions will eventually cash in on him if they receive somewhere around €23m.
