My family was stabbed and punched in violent robbery when thieves posed as postmen-I have no idea why we were attacked
A MUM who was stabbed and punched during a violent robbery has said her attackers posed as post men.
Three masked men burst into a flat in the Salford area of Manchester on Friday afternoon.
A mum, dad and their son were stabbed and beaten during the robbery inside a first floor apartment.
The dad is still in hospital after undergoing surgery.
Now the mum, who suffered two black eyes and a slash wound to her arm, has spoken to The Sun about the attack.
She said: “There was a knock on the front door. I heard a voice saying it was a postal delivery.
“My husband opened the door and was confronted by three masked man. They put a knife straight to his throat and then came in.”
The woman said her home was left covered in blood during the incident.
She added:”We were all stabbed.
“I was punched in the face too. I think they were after our car keys, cash and other valuables.
“They were screaming and shouting so it was hard to understand what they were after.”
The woman said that her husband was still in hospital after undergoing surgery. A relative told The Sun that the man was “very poorly.”
The relative said he had been mopping up blood inside the apartment after the attack.
The mum said: “I am still in shock after this ordeal.It is very upsetting. I have no idea who the men were.”
It is not clear how the masked men got through a ground floor door to the apartment block which is normally locked.
Detective Chief Inspector Yanica Weir said: “This appears to be an isolated, targeted and unprovoked attack, in which three men in masks and balaclavas were seen leaving the address on Velour Close following the attack.
“We are carrying out house-to-house enquiries and doing a CCTV trawl from the area, and we are now looking for anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident, to come forward.
“If anyone has any CCTV, mobile or dashcam footage in or around Velour Close on Friday 18 August, to please let us know.
