The Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA) has appointed Sinazo Tiya as the port security officer at the Port of Durban. The role of port security officer is crucial in ensuring the safety and security of TNPA assets, people and port, in compliance with the International Ship and Port Facility Security code. Tiya is the port's first female port security officer.
