Old Conna Seniors come up trumps in the finals – another pennant !

Congratulations to our Old Conna Seniors’ team who brought home yet another 2023 pennant for the club this afternoon (21st August).

It’s hard enough, as we well know, to win any inter club competition but this team has gone one further and have successfully defended their 2022 title, a great achievement.

The whole team played really well this afternoon and in the end beat Powerscourt into second place by an impressive eleven points. Also competing this afternoon were Bray and Druids Heath.

Greystones scoring was as follows:

Andrew Nolan & Gearoid McKenna – 45 points

Jim Binchy & Brian O’Connor – 46 points

Pete Murray & Joe Grennan – 45 points

John Burke & Denis McGrane – 41 points

Tom Creed & Niall Cross and  Billy Byrne & Clive Woollam were subs today..

No doubt there will be a glass raised tonight to our recently departed friend and member Tim Hazelton, who was manager of this team alongside Dermot Whiston and Pete Murray.
