BBC confirms huge daytime TV show is returning to screens next week – leaving fans thrilled
BBC Morning Live gives fans an update on the show’s future after taking a break.
The popular breakfast show announced they will be returning to our screens after three weeks off air.
On their last day, presenter Gethin Jones told viewers: “That is for today and we are taking a break for a few weeks. Thank you so much for watching, have a lovely summer, we will see you soon, bye for now.”
The official BBC Morning Live account then tweeted: “When it’s Monday and you realise Morning Live isn’t on for 3 weeks! If you think this news is ‘not perfect’ then don’t worry, you can watch our show on @BBCiPlayer!”
Now, BBC bosses have confirmed the programme will be back on screens in one week on bank holiday Monday.
The show has teased what’s to come as they shared on social media: “Solicitor @ayeshanayyarlaw will be joining us next week with a viewer’s clinic, where she’ll be answering all of your legal questions.”
Despite the show’s absence, Gethin has continued to keep his followers up to date.
He went to the theatre in London to support his friend and Loose Women panellist Frankie Bridge in the show 2:22 A Ghost Story, alongside a string of stars including First Dates star CiCi Coleman.
This fuelled rumours that Gethin is dating the First Dates star as they enjoyed a night in London’s West End.
The pair were joined at the hip as they enjoyed drinks at the Apollo Theatre after the performance, before heading off to celeb haunt The Groucho Club together to carry on partying.
An insider said: “They’ve grown close and have been spending time together.”
Gethin was famously engaged to fellow Welsh star Katherine Jenkins back in 2011 as well as dating Towie’s Lucy Mecklenburgh.
Speaking last year the pair, whose agents declined to comment, opened up about dating on Russell Kane’s podcast.
Gethin said: “I’m quite old fashioned, I think the small chivalrous things are quite important. I’ll open the door for a lady.”
Meanwhile, telly waitress and life coach Cici added: “I really appreciate the gesture of someone paying the bill on the first date.”
