Federal government buying Norwegian ferry as interim replacement on N.S.-P.E.I. run

The federal government is expected to purchase MV Fanafjord in the coming weeks and have it enter service in May 2024. Once the deal is finalized, the vessel will act as the interim replacement for MV Holiday Island while a new ferry is being built.
