Bay Area music superstar’s festival canceled at Shoreline for 2023
Bay Area music fans will have to wait a bit longer to groove with H.E.R.
The Grammy-and-Oscar-winning superstar’s multiday music festival, originally set for Shoreline Amphitheatre at Mountain View Sept. 16-17, has been canceled.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, Lights On Festival will not take place this year,” a festival representative said in a statement.
No information or details were given about the “unforeseen circumstances.”
Also, there is no mention of the cancelation on H.E.R.’s X (the social media platform formerly known as Twitter) page. Nothing appears to be mentioned on the star’s website either.
H.E.R. — who hails from Vallejo — was set to headline a bill that also included Jazmine Sullivan, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Don Toliver, Alina Baraz, Smino, Syd and more.
This was going to be the first time the Lights On was going to be held at Shoreline. It was previously held at Toyota Pavilion at Concord.
Fortunately, organizers are saying that the festival will be back next year.
“We sincerely appreciate and value the Lights On Festival community and look forward to returning with an incredible experience in 2024,” the festival representative said in the statement.
