East Hartford police investigating alleged kidnapping; 2 men injured
Police in East Hartford are investigating an alleged kidnapping and assault that left two men injured early Saturday.
Just after midnight, officers responds to the 900 block of Burnside Avenue, where two men allegedly had been assaulted in the parking lot, according to the East Hartford Police Department.
When officers arrived, they learned that one of the men had had his wrists bound by the suspects and was then put inside his own vehicle and another man had been taken by the suspects, police said.
Police in Wethersfield later alerted East Hartford police that the man who allegedly had been kidnapped had been found in Wethersfield.
Both men suffered minor injuries, police said.
Police said the attack appears to have been targeted and that there was no threat to the public.
An active investigation was ongoing, police said.
