The unlikely matchmaker who got Stormzy and Maya Jama back together revealed
STORMZY’S mum played matchmaker in getting him back with Maya Jama.
The rapper, 30, rekindled his romance with the Love Island host, 29, earlier this year after they split in 2019.
And his mother Abigail Owuo played a key role in reunited them after he admitted failing to “appreciate” the TV beauty.
A pal said: “Stormzy is really open about wanting to settle down and have kids one day and he knows Maya is ‘The One’.
“Stormzy is really close to his mum Abigail who has always been Maya’s biggest fan. Abigail wants the best for her son and motivated him to make amends with Maya.”
Last year Stormzy, real name Michael Ebenezer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr., said: “You make a mistake and you lose someone you loved, someone you cared for, someone who is special to you. That’s probably the biggest loss a man can have, isn’t it?
“The whole f***ing palaver that surrounded that situation. I didn’t do what a man should do to fully appreciate love, and care for his woman.”
Loved-up Stormzy recently whisked Maya away for a £2,280-a-night Greek getaway.
The pair were seen looking cosy at their villa in Peloponnese.
Last week we revealed Maya flew on a private plane to watch Stormzy as he headlined a festival in East London.
