UK weather: Brits hit with rain warning for second day in a row in drizzly Bank Holiday weekend
BRITS have been hit with a rain warning for the second day in a row during a drizzly Bank Holiday weekend.
It comes after yesterday’s unsettled conditions saw yellow weather warnings issued that threatened to put a dampener on the long weekend.

Heavy rain across the north-western region marked the start of Sunday in what could be another soggy day for Brits.
The forecasters warned the harsh rainfall could cause massive disruption, with transportation delays on the cards as people travel during the Bank Holiday.
And the stormy weather could also cause potential loss of power and services in these areas, say meteorologists.
The Met Office warning in the region read: “Further heavy showers are likely to cause some localised flooding and disruption on Saturday night.
“There is a good chance driving conditions will be affected by spray and standing water, leading to longer journey times by car and bus. Delays to train services are possible.
“Some flooding of a few homes and businesses is possible, leading to some damage to buildings or structures.”
Met Office Deputy Chief Meteorologist Steven Keates said: “Areas further north and west will see more frequent showers, some of which will be heavy, and will at times extend south into central areas of England and Wales on Sunday.”
But it’s not all bad news for today with forecasters predicting the rain should start to ease off by mid-afternoon, with a mainly dry outlook for the rest of the day.
Tonight’s weather sees “showers fading” with clear spells forming in eastern areas, according to the Met Office.
Although it will be cloudy, the weather should still be pleasant with mild conditions enjoyed by those in England.
Temperatures are expected to be around average for August.
It is predicted to be a dry evening for most Brits with just Wales and western areas of Scotland seeing some lingering drizzle.
The forecasters added that there would be “a band of cloud with patchy rain” across the west edging eastwards.
And Bank Holiday Monday looks like it could be quite nice for the majority of Brits with sunny spells on the cards.
But “outbreaks of light rain” are expected earlier in the morning.
The Met Office five-day forecast read: “Often cloudy on Monday, with further outbreaks of light rain and drizzle across eastern areas at first.
“Elsewhere sunny spells soon developing with some isolated showers here and there.
“A fine start on Tuesday with cloud and light rain moving eastwards overnight into Wednesday.
“A dry start on Thursday perhaps with organised rain and strengthening winds arriving later.”
