Club Make Progress In Talks To Sign Tottenham Hotspur Defender

Sanchez is in the final year of his contract at Spurs and the club are keen to sell him before the window closes at the end of this week.

The defender rejected a move to Russia earlier in the window, which annoyed Tottenham, who have been keen to move him on all summer.

However, it seems there is progress in Spurs’ attempts to sell Sanchez in the final days of the transfer window.

Rennes have tabled a bid worth €9m for the defender and according to French outlet Foot Mercato, they are making steady progress in talks to sign Sanchez.

The French club are pushing ahead with their attempts to get a deal over the line to sign the Colombian defender.

Tottenham want a bit more money from his departure but the negotiations have been positive between the two clubs.

However, Sanchez is not the only defender on Rennes’ radar as they are also considering several other centre-backs.
