Researchers from various countries, including an alumnus of Allahabad University, have discovered a compound derived from tobacco leaves that shows promise in fighting several types of cancer. The compound, named "4-[3-Hydroxyanilino]-6,7-Dimethoxyquinazoline," was found to have no noticeable side effects and targets the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) protein in tumor cells.
