AFTER months of splashing out on summer holidays and activities to keep the kids occupied, many of us will be looking for ways to save a few pennies.

Luckily a canny influencer is here to help, and has compiled a list of the five best freebies you can currently get your hands on – including £200 of free cash.

A Millennial Saver has amassed nearly 15,000 followers on Instagram, sharing her stellar financial advice to help you get a grip on the purse strings.

The economical influencer shot to fame after she revealed she’d managed to save an eye-watering £40,000 by the age of just 26, largely through various side hustles and some super savvy investing

The 27-year-old regularly shares her best money-saving hacks with fans, and her latest posts involved a few bargains that seem almost too good to be true.

So if you’re looking to save a few quid while still bagging some treats, listen up.

The prudent poster’s first shout out was for a free Krispy Kreme donut, which shoppers can redeem simply by signing up to the free Rewards Scheme.

You’ll be able to nab a free Original Glazed treat in store – and even better, you’ll get another free one on your birthday.

Greggs are another brand offering a freebie: this time, a free hot drink when you download the Greggs app, available on iPhone and Android

Once again, you’ll also get a free lip-smacking sweet treat on your birthday – yum!

A Millenial Saver’s next tip is to consider switching banks.

Some banks will offer you up to £200 for you to move you account there, and “it’s often easier than you think” to do, the influencer explains, because “your new bank will take care of any existing direct debits and update your providers”.

She adds that it’s always worth researching which banks offering the biggest reward at the time you’re switching, which you can easily do on websites like Money Saving Expert

The prudent creator’s next recommendation is one for the music-lovers out there: Spotify is offering new users three months of Premium Individual for free until 12 September.

That’s a saving of 10.99 a month – or more than £30 in total.

Remember though, you’ll be automatically enrolled into a paid subscription unless you remember to cancel the trial, so don’t forget to set a remind if you want to dodge the payment.

Her final freebie shout out is for Heritage Open Days – a scheme that sees many historical sites and tourist attractions offer free entry for a 10 day period.

Between 8-17 September, there will be thousands of completely free events for you to enjoy, spanning everything from tours of the iconic Tyne tunnels to a chance to delve into the vaults at the British Film Institute’s National Collection.

If you’re looking for something to keep the kids occupied next weekend, the events are an absolute must.
