The Maharashtra government has introduced the "Pro Govinda" competition as part of this year's Dahi Handi festivities in order to ensure the safety of participants. The competition will take place at the NSCI dome in Mumbai, with a pot suspended at a height of 40 feet. Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners, with the first prize being ₹11 lakh. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has also made arrangements for 125 beds in civic hospitals across Mumbai to provide medical assistance to participants.
