German industrial production continues to fall in July: Destatis

BERLIN, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- German industrial output fell for the third consecutive month in July, producing 0.8 percent less than in the previous month, according to provisional figures published by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) on Thursday.

Industrial production of consumer goods dropped 1 percent month-on-month, while production of capital goods fell by as much as 2.9 percent, Destatis said.
