Vedanta Group and Foxconn have separately applied to the Indian government to establish semiconductor fabrication units in the country. Both companies have submitted details of their proposed technology partners and funding for the chip fabrication units. The government is currently reviewing their proposals and engaging in discussions to finalize the agreements.
