After more than a decade on the run, former teacher sentenced to 50 years in prison

(ARIZONA CENTRAL) – A former teacher at a school in Cottonwood [Arizona] was sentenced to 50 years in prison for six counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

According to the Yavapai County Attorney's Office, Randy Scott Young, 44, first fell under suspicion when he was found with a young female student at an off-campus location in 2012.

The school fired him and turned over his laptop to the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office, which had children's pornography on it, according to the Wednesday release.
