Beauty fans scramble to Aldi as it releases dupe of Elemis cleansing balm – but it’s £31 cheaper
SAVVY shoppers are sprinting to get their hands on Aldi’s latest beauty dupe.
So if you are looking to save money and nab yourself a cheap find, you’ll need to listen up.
One bargain hunter, Ellie Jayne Simmons, was left beaming when she spotted a dupe for the cult classic Elemis cleansing balm.
Saving herself a whopping £31, Ellie was thrilled with her bargain buy and took to social media to alert other shoppers.
Posting on Facebook, on Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, a private group with a staggering 2.3 million members, the Aldi fan showed off her dupe buy next to the high-end version.
Ellie explained: “Went to Aldi last week for the skincare dupes.
“I swear by Elemis for my skincare so thought I’d give this a try.
“The packaging is definitely a dupe and the quality of the cleansing balm removes makeup just as well as the Elemis!
“However, the rose smell is not as prominent on the Aldi dupe.”
Ellie then confirmed that the high-end Elemis pro-collagen rose cleansing balm will set you back an eye-watering £38.
However, the new Aldi dupe of the rose cleansing balm will cost you just £6.99.
She continued: “Massive saving and brilliant at removing makeup! I do recommend!”
The beauty fan later added: “Each to their own but it just doesn’t have that luxury Elemis smell and feel to it.”
Ellie shared her post just 10 hours ago, but it has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly amassed a whopping 234 likes and 113 comments.
Social media users were stunned at the affordable dupe and many were eager to get their hands on the bargain buy.
One person said: “Need to try.”
Another tagged a friend and added: “Get me [one] please.”
A third commented: “Will go tomorrow.”
At the same time, many other beauty fans, who had tried Aldi’s dupe, were eager to share their thoughts on the cheap find.
One woman claimed: “This is a decent dupe.”
A second penned: “Of course you’d be sacrificing certain properties for the price difference but it really is a great product!”
Whilst someone else chimed in: “You’re right, but it does smell nice and works a treat. I’ll sacrifice the luxury feel of it for the sake of £30 odd while I can’t afford the real deal.”
Meanwhile, another Aldi shopper wrote: “I got this rose one and the original one from Aldi. I think for the price, they are amazing..wish I had stocked up on them.”
