New research has shown that the number of younger adults being diagnosed with cancer has increased by almost 80% globally in the last three decades. The study also found that cancers typically associated with older age groups, such as bowel, stomach, breast, uterine, and pancreatic cancer, are increasingly being diagnosed in younger people. The rise in early-onset cancer is a cause for concern, as some of these cancers have low survival rates due to late-stage diagnosis.
