The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has been granted an additional eight weeks to complete its investigation of the Gyanvapi mosque premises in Varanasi. The mosque committee's objections to the extension were dismissed by the court. Committee insiders told ET it will not challenge the extension order in a higher court.
