TV star Kate Lawler has revealed that she was snubbed from the National Television Awards’ guest list.

The former Big Brother winner, 43, is now a familiar face on This Morning and Loose Women, however this bizarrely didn’t earn her a ticket to the massive showbiz event.

Despite this, and to add salt to the wound, Kate was asked to head to London’s O2 Arena to host a competition segment for both ITV shows instead.

Taking to Instagram, Kate has now shared several snaps of herself clutching an NTA gong and posing on the empty stage before the night had got going.

She told her followers: “Never got invited to the NTA’s brilllliennnnnt BUT I did get to crash the stage, hold an award, see @joeldommett rehearsing and have a lovely morning hosting another comp for @thismorning and @loosewomen who were both nominated for an award.”

She added: “Congrats to all the winners and how gorgeous did everyone look on the red carpet?!? Whose look did you love the most? I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many beautiful dresses in one evening on Instagram. .”

Kate’s army of followers have been quick to rally round following her baffling ticket snub.

One kindly wrote: “Don’t worry about the invite Kate, you’re an amazing person who inspires probably more people than those that even attended the awards!

“You’re real, honest, an amazing mother to your little girl and I honestly look forward to watching your posts everyday! keep being you.”

Another chimed in: “Followed you since the BB days & you really are the most genuine celeb I follow….you’re real, true, funny & you bring joy to social media…its their loss as you would be BRILLIENNNTTT.”

And a third echoed: “Their loss lovely lady.”

Someone else even tagged the official National Television Awards’ account in, complaining: “@officialntas how did @thekatelawler not get invited!!”

Kate shot to fame in 2002 after winning the third series of Big Brother. She starred on the reality show alongside Alison Hammond and the late-Jade Goody.

The star went on to forge a successful career as a DJ, landing high profile presenting jobs on Capital FM and Virgin Radio.

Kate also took part in subsequent reality shows, including Celebrity Total Wipeout and Hole In The Wall.

In 2019, Kate’s star profile was on the rise again and she launched her own podcast – Maybe Baby – with her husband Boj.

Kate, who is a mum to 22-month-old daughter Noa, is now frequently seen on This Morning and Loose Women as a competitions presenter.
