Patients with high blood pressure double to 130 crore: WHO's first-ever report details devastating impact of hypertension

0
The World Health Organization (WHO) has released its first-ever report on hypertension, highlighting the need to address this silent killer. It is estimated that 4 out of 5 people with high blood pressure are not adequately treated. However, if countries can improve coverage, it is possible to avert 76 million deaths between 2023 and 2050. Hypertension affects 1 in 3 adults globally and can lead to various health problems if left untreated. Lifestyle changes, such as a healthier diet and increased physical activity, can help lower blood pressure, along with medication if necessary.
