Horror 70mph crash left me with bleed on brain and struggling to rap – now I’m back, says Bugzy Malone
BUGZY Malone lost his confidence after nearly dying in a horror quad bike accident two years ago.
In an exclusive interview, he told how he struggled to connect with his music after the 70mph smash left him in hospital with a bleed on the brain.
Despite his injuries, Bugzy released album The Resurrection, just months later.
Now he’s working on new tracks and has found his self-belief again. Bugzy said: “The Resurrection is not that good. I was really quite insecure with my position in the game as a rapper and as a person.
“I put a lot of my identity into being a guy that could look after myself, so when I was smashed to bits I didn’t know how to react. It took me a while to get my confidence back. But now I’ve made something serious.”
The Manchester-born star wants to inspire young people to reach their full potential and put that into his new record.
Bugzy added: “You get people that haven’t yet become positive or understand the effect of positivity in life which is why I talk about being inspired, it’s a mind-set.”
Talking at a launch party for his new fragrance House Of Vision he added: “Because I’ve done well for myself people think I’m superhuman but I’m not. I just try to focus on doing better than what I’ve done before.”
Newlywed Vick back to work
VICK HOPE has confirmed The Sun’s exclusive about her wedding to superstar DJ Calvin Harris.
We told this month how the the pair had married in a lavish ceremony at Hulne Priory in Alnwick, Northumberland.
As she returned to her drivetime Radio 1 show Vick played coy when quizzed about the big day by her co-host Jordan North and laughed as she said, “Yes” when asked if she was loving married life.
Jordan told her: “This is married life now.”
Giggling she added: “Yes. I had to hold my hands up.”
I revealed how the pair had flown off for a honeymoon in Italy after they said their vows in a Glastonbury-style celebration.
Secret wedding for Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt
ARCTIC MONKEYS rocker Matt Helders has secretly married his girlfriend of three years Amanda Blank.
The drummer said their vows over the weekend in a low-key ceremony.
Mardy Bum star Matt announced the happy news on Instagram with Amanda, as they shared a snap of them kissing at their reception.
American Amanda captioned the picture: “I really love you the most.” Matt added: “Can you believe it? Trouble and strife,” before telling a fan: “I’ve never been happier.”
Matt’s wedding comes four years after his split from his first wife, actress Breana McDow.
He took time out of the Sheffield band’s tour to say his vows and the group took to the stage for the first time since the wedding in Colorado last night.
They are set to play 11 more dates in North America before returning to the UK for a gig in Belfast on October 16, as well as three more gigs in Dublin.
What a way to celebrate.
Rob not feeling too rosé
ROBBIE Williams has tasted defeat in his bid to follow his former Take That bandmate Gary Barlow and launch his own wine label.
The Angels singer wanted to use the name Rude Rise to knock out his own plonk and attempted to trademark the name this year.
But Rob has faced opposition from Jamaican booze brand Rude Boy, which has said the pop star’s proposed name was too similar to the title of its company.
Paperwork shows Robbie has now dropped his plans to market alcoholic drinks using the name.
He is now hoping to move forward with his Rude Rise energy drinks.
It is little wonder Robbie was so keen to get in on the vino business, as Gary’s organic red, white and rosé wines have been selling like crazy since he launched them almost two years ago.
