Suspected pervert firefighter being probed after ‘filming female colleagues on the toilet’

A SUSPECTED pervert firefighter is being probed by police after allegedly filming female colleagues on the toilet.

The married man, in his 30s, has been suspended and five women thought to be in illicit recordings have been put on “excused absence”.

Officers are said to have found in the man’s possession footage of female firefighters in the showers and restrooms, along with indecent images of children.

On Monday, his entire team took sick leave due to “stress” from the London Fire Brigade station where he works.

Just one of two fire engines based there was in use by the station’s staff.

The remaining vehicle was covered by staff from other stations.

A colleague based at a neighbouring station said: “He’s the last person you’d expect to do something like this.

“What’s happened has sent shockwaves throughout the fire service.

“The women feel violated and I think I can speak for everyone when I say we all feel really betrayed.”

The Sun is not naming the suspect or his station for legal reasons.

The London Fire Brigade said it could not comment on individual staff members.

But it added: “Allegations relating to criminal conduct are taken extremely seriously and, if upheld, will result in dismissal for gross misconduct.”
