CT job hiring expo to be held in Hartford Wednesday; about 100 employers expected
The Connecticut Department of Labor and Hartford Athletic will hold the 3rd annual Hiring Expo on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Trinity Health Stadium in Hartford, according to the state agency.
About 100 Connecticut employers from industries throughout the state will be represented with “companies hiring for entry-level jobs as well as experienced career roles,” according to the state agency.
Hiring Expo is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Trinity Health Stadium, 250 Huyshope Ave., Hartford. Free parking is available next to the stadium.
The event is free and all job seekers are welcome and encouraged to register prior to the event, the labor department said in a statement.

Registration is not required, but anyone who registers will receive complimentary tickets to a future Hartford Athletic home match, the statement said.
“In preparation for the Hiring Expo, job seekers may also request resume and other career assistance through the American Job Centers,” the agency said in the statement.
Many salaried workers in CT would get overtime under federal proposal
The agency said Labor Department Deputy Commissioner Mark Polzella; Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz, state and local officials, Hartford Athletic CEO Nick Sakiewicz and employers from around the state are expected to be in attendance.
